I am a driven and dedicated media and communications professional with more than a decade of experience in the government and journalism industries.
Since graduating college, I have honed my writing and editing skills at a number of newspapers along the East Coast, and my communications and networking abilities working for the New York State Governor. The marriage of those skills makes me the perfect communications professional.
Throughout the pandemic, I was responsible for scouting, building and running a number of COVID test and vaccination sites across the Mohawk Valley. I also worked with the regional control room for the Mohawk Valley, helping guide local elected officials through the complex recommendations and requirements, as well as executive orders, put forth by the governor to battle the pandemic.
Over my time with the governor's office, I was involved in tackling numerous local issues, such as an increase in gun violence in my region. One of my regular responsibilities was tracking, building and executing events for major announcements made by the governor, of which I did many times over the two years I held the position.
In my career as a journalist, I covered a number of major news events, including a campaign stop by a sitting president. My reporting has also been recognized by a handful of regional organizations -- The Associated Press; Maryland, Delaware and D.C. Press Association; and The Specialized Information Publishers Association to name a few.
